We asked five quick questions to Johan Granqvist, our newly appointed Relationship Manager at Euroclear Sweden.
What do you do at work?
My role is to establish and manage relationships with our clients and partners.
What is the best thing about Euroclear Sweden?
Our operations are at the heart of the Swedish financial market – yet we are a small company with a very familial atmosphere. Everyone shows tremendous dedication to their work, but also takes the time to be welcoming to new employees.
What can you bring to Euroclear?
I have experience in both the banking sector and various types of companies. At Euroclear, we manage everything from the annual general meetings of large-cap companies to the share registers of small businesses. If you are curious and social, you can learn a lot.
What are you most proud of?
Training for the Stockholm Marathon was a significant challenge. I am not a runner by nature, but having a goal made it easier. Suddenly, I found myself at the starting line ready to conquer the race.
What are you less proud of?
I turn everything into a competition. It's not always entirely successful. I used to optimize every moment in the mornings like Gunde Svan. In a family with small children, this way doesn't work as well.
